By Ricardo Lois - A well placed left-hook to the chin by Manny Pacquiao sent Ricky Hatton to the canvas, and kept him there for several minutes - flattened out and looking at the ring lights above.There was no knock-out more impressive or that will be remembered any more clearly by those who saw it, than the one Pacquiao scored against Hatton on May 2, 2009.
If I can confess here, in this public forum, I watched the Hatton demise at least two dozens times on my Digital Video Recorder immediately following the fight. The crisp left hook was a thing of beauty.
With that one punch, and the ensuing knock-out, Manny Pacquiao earned knock-out of the year for 2009.
